After Easter and a special guest speaker, we are back in our "Living Joy" series as we study through Philippians. In Chapter 2, Paul implores the Church to stop thinking so much about themselves. God does not promise us that we will never face anything hard if we will follow Him. We all know that Christmas is about so much more than getting gifts or decorating a tree, but do we really understand what the coming of Christ really means? Ordinary People
One thing is certain: God never lets the frailty of man get in the way of His sovereign plan. This is particularly true in the case of Jesus's birth. Even though Mary, Joseph and many others were not rich or perfect, God chose them to carry out His plan so that He could reach the whole world with His grace. 5 Names of Jesus
Our identity is rooted in who God is because we are made in His image. Pastor David has a timely message from Old Testament prophecy of who God is and it all point toward the birth a Jesus. Paul's prayer for the church at Ephesus is probably one of the most know passages of scripture. In this passage Paul explains that God's purpose for believers is to know and live in love of Christ. As sinners, there should be nothing we should be more grateful for than our Saviour. The best way to be grateful for God is to understand His benefits.
