One of the foundational philosophies of the children’s ministry at Calvary Chapel Greenwood is this: “It’s easier to build children than it is to repair adults.” Our desire is to impart to our children biblical truth in a way that is fresh and relevant, and to model for them what it means to walk in dynamic, intimate fellowship with Jesus Christ.
Our weekly children’s ministry schedule looks like this:
Children ages 2 through Grade 5 are dismissed before the sermon portion of our Sunday-morning service for Children’s Church. The classes are divided according to the following ages: 2-3 (Kingdom Kids); 4-K5 (Ambassadors); 1st-3rd grade (Messengers) and 4th-5th grade (Voyagers).
Classes are held for children ages 3-Grade 5, while babies and toddlers are cared for in the church nursery. Wednesday night classes are divided according to the following ages: 3-5 (Adventurers); K5-1st grade (Ambassadors); 2nd-3rd grade (Messengers) and 4th-5th grade (Voyagers).
In addition to our regular weekly children’s ministry activities, kids also participate in drama/musical programs, service projects and a summer vacation Bible school. For more information about our children’s ministry, call Beth Robertson at 446-8002.
