Women's "Sharing Skills" Gathering

  • The Gathering Place 2200 Woodlawn Road Greenwood, SC 29649 (map)

“Sharing Skills” is a time for the women of Calvary to share their gifts and abilities with others. You can drop in as time permits, and there is no obligation to stay the entire time.

We hope to gather the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Quilting

Linda will teach beginning quilt top piecing. Supplies provided or bring your own (100 percent cotton, rotary cutter and omni grid ruler, pins, needle, thread) to make a nine-patch block. If you do not own a sewing machine and or piecing tools, I will be glad to bring extra.

Contact: Linda Halsey halsey@wctel.net or 864-302-3100

Knitting

Debbie will teach knitting. Please bring a set of knitting needles (size 5-7 would be best, but we can work with what you have access to). If you have yarn, bring a ball or skein, a medium weight would be best. Fiber content is not important, but you will appreciate a yarn that doesn’t split easily. Please reach out to me if you do not have needles or yarn and I will bring them with me.

Contact: Debbie Foster dfostercpa66@gmail.com or 609-410-0025

If you have a talent you would like to share, please let Debbie or Linda know. If there is something you would like to learn, we would be happy to add that to a list which may inspire someone with said talent to share their skill.

If you are a quilter or knitter and would like to work on your current project and/or help beginners, and are available on the 21st, please let us know.
